Do you trust the process?

I recently asked this of a client who was questioning where they were going. We had established the steps that were needed to move them forward financially.  The anticipated results were not quick-coming, and they were getting nervous.

In life and in leadership, we will always encounter situations that, at times, feel hopeless. We know we’re doing the right thing, but we’re not seeing the anticipated results. Situations like……

Exercising to drop some weight or improve our health. We’ve been doing it for 2 weeks with no measurable results.

Networking to expand our client base and business opportunities. We’ve been doing this, are growing some great relationships, but are not seeing bottom-line results.

We’ve been out of work for 6 months and have applied for hundreds of positions but have not successfully landed a new job yet.

When all hope seems lost, we need to work the 3-P process:

Practices. There are proven techniques, strategies, and disciplines we can harness for virtually any challenge we are facing.  Are we using best practices?

Persistence. Are we willing to work hard? Do we have stick-to-it-iveness…..the ability to grind even when the answer is no or not yet?

Prayer. Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us”. We need divine guidance and intervention from the maker of heaven and earth! Are you talking with your senior advisor?

Working this process diligently, checking to ensure that we are following best practices, will lead to success.

A Titleist Pro V1 golf ball ad says it well…… “When there’s excellence in process, there’s excellence in performance.”

Are you investing in an excellent process to deliver outstanding results?
